Kati Gyarmathy Jacobs

Professional Artist

Kati’s twin passions are the creation of beauty and the development of the spirit. The children are grown. They are her proudest accomplishment. A long career as an interior designer is completed. Now is the time in her life for the joyful pursuit of beauty. It is a time to create images that arise from somewhere deep within. Images that combine form, color and energy with an intention to nourish the soul of both the artist and the viewer.

A native of Budapest, Kati’s comes from a well know and well respected artistic family. Her uncle, Tihamer Gyarmathy, was a contemporary artist with a very strong following in the European art world. She hopes to follow in his footsteps.

About Me

As a young child, Kati was her happiest with a sketch pad and pencil. And as the years went on she would discover other media for expressing beauty. The fiber artist Kaffee Fassett inspired beauty through knitting. Her creativity was later on display as a potter. Studying at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, and apprenticing with Clyde Tullis, a well respected local potter, help her to refine her skills and artistic eye while working with clay. A seminar with the nationally revered potter Paul Suanier was a very special time. Kati is also an avid student of oriental flower arranging, Ikebana, an art form she uses almost daily in her own home. Aesthetic beauty is everywhere in her eyes.

After her student days at Boston School of Art, she completed her degree in Interior Design. She went on to channel her artistic talents into the creation of beautiful spaces for people’s homes and businesses. Her designs often evoked in her clients an energetic quality of comfort, tranquility and serenity. She gave her time and gifts to help transform Pike’s Peak Hospice into a place for people to die with beauty and dignity. One of the patients was overheard to say “This place feels like being at the Broadmoor” (local 5 star luxury hotel).

Kati also has a passion for exploration of the inner life of the soul. She is an avid student of Carl Jung and his language of symbols. She endeavors to create artwork that incorporates the use of symbols that touch and inspire the viewer. A student of Prananadi energy healing has helped Kati bring an energetic healing aspect to her work.

It takes real courage to paint from a soul driven place. Your inner world on display for world to
see. There is no place to hide. Walking on hot coals with Tony Robbins took courage on that one day. Being a soul drive artist takes courage and commitment to a healing journey every day.

May her images bring joy, beauty and insight to other travelers in this world.
